Katy Parsons

ChappellRoberts’ account executive, Katy Parsons, APR, joins the select group of approximately 5,000 professionals throughout the United States who have earned accreditation from the Universal Accreditation Board.

As an accredited public relations professional, Parsons met one of the highest standards for the profession. This accreditation program is the only national post-graduate certification program for public relations. It rigorously tests knowledge of communications theory and its application, research, strategic planning, implementation, ethical conduct and evaluation. The process includes an extensive review panel and exam.

“To truly be an integrated advertising agency, it’s essential to employ proven experts in all disciplines,” said Colleen Chappell, APR, president and CEO of ChappellRoberts. “I’m incredibly proud that Katy was able to meet this significant career milestone and bring even more value to our clients as a result.”

Parsons joins three other accredited public relations practitioners at ChappellRoberts who provide important public relations leadership to clients. As an APR, she will join the team of accredited professionals in leading public relations strategies for clients such as Verizon Wireless, The Mosaic CompanyVerizon FiOS and Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation.

“Earning the APR reflects a mastery of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to succeed in our increasingly complex profession,” said Susan G Barnes, APR, Fellow PRSA, 2013 chair of the Universal Accreditation Board. “Practitioners who achieve the designation are demonstrating their commitment not only to our profession, but also to a strong code of ethics and to the betterment of their organizations and clients.”

ChappellRoberts drives results with unexpected ideas for its clients through branding, advertising, public relations and marketing. Founded nearly 35 years ago, ChappellRoberts is located in Tampa’s historic Ybor City. For more information, go to www.chappellroberts.com.
