One of PRSA Tampa Bays’ Most Popular Events is right around the corner!

June 12, 2013

Join the excitement with one of the year’s most popular Tampa Bay area PR Events, the Media Roundtable on Wednesday, June 19!

This year’s sold out Media Roundtable event provides a unique opportunity to build relationships and speak directly with local media to gather valuable tips on working with them to generate news coverage. Jointly organized by the local chapters of PRSA and FPRA, the Media Roundtable is also a great chance to network with dozens of PR colleagues.

The event begins at Chart House Restaurant with registration and breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and the program from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Participating Media include: Chris Taylor and D’Ann White from Patch, Mitch Perry from Creative Loafing, Tina Karagiannis from Bay News 9, Jo-Lynn Brown and Pam Huff from the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Daniel Ruth from the Tampa Bay Times, Tamara Lush from Associate Press, Jennifer Stanton from CBS TV and Franco Ripple from CBS Radio.

“I believe the Media Roundtable event is the most valuable PRSA event our chapter hosts each year,” said Adrienne Drew, coordinator of the event. “To be able to connect with powerful media personalities and people in that industry face to face really can do a lot for your career versus just speaking to them on the phone or sending out press releases. Once you put a face with a name and are able to talk one-on-one, it gives us

PR professionals more credibility. This event also allows people in our profession to learn more about what the media wants from us, how they want to receive it and how often. After attending last year’s event, I made a lot of connections and enjoyed it so much that I decided to take on the task of helping to plan this year’s event. We have a great line up of outlets and personalities so this year’s event will be beneficial for anyone looking to sharpen their media relations skills.”

The event is sponsored by Hill +Knowlton Strategies, an international communications consultancy.
